I first picked up a camera aged ten, and I’ve pretty much been hooked on photography ever since. I studied photography at university and then worked briefly in television production and marketing. Fortunately, I came to my senses fairly quickly and emigrated to Botswana, Africa to work as a photographer on a nature reserve. When I eventually made my way back to the U.K, I set up my own business working as a freelance photographer and writer. I’ve travelled round most of Europe, Africa, Australia, New Zealand and America taking photographs and writing for various books and magazines, and it’s fair to say that I have well and truly caught the travel bug! I love photographing landscapes and wildlife, but am just as content to undertake commissions in this country as I think the English landscape is often highly underrated in its beauty.
My first love though has always been photographing people – whether for private family portraits or for corporate headshots and annual reports. I really enjoy meeting new people and giving them beautiful photographs. Currently I’ve been doing a lot of shoots with children and babies, and I’ve definitely developed several tricks to get the best out of the youngsters!
I cover a wide range of genres, and have a fully equipped studio near High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. I’m also happy to travel to people’s homes and offices, and cover most of the Home Counties, London and Oxfordshire. I also offer a full graphic design and copywriting service for businesses to help with their advertising needs.
