Alex got hold of his first proper camera at the age of 11 and instantly fell in love with photography; he went right through secondary school knowing he would be a professional photographer. His career started in 1996 assisting one of the top photographers in Manchester. Working primarily for adidas, photographing their sponsored athletes throughout the UK and Europe provided Alex with a perfect foundation.
Having worked in the industry for 14 years Alex still has the same love for photography that he started with as an 11 year old. Whether working for a large international company or a local one-man band he is passionate about achieving perfect results. As well as being able to work to a tight brief and under pressure, Alex will provide creative input to ensure the client is always completely satisfied.
Alex has a relaxed and friendly manner that helps put people at ease and get the job done with the minimum of fuss and his amiability brings out the best from even the most camera shy.
His studio is based in a wonderful old building in Macclesfield, less than 2 hours by train from London Euston and under 20 miles from Manchester, making it easy for clients and art directors to be present at shoots.
